M RESORT SPA CASINO ANNOUNCES $206 MILLION EXPANSION: M Resort Spa Casino, operated by PENN Entertainment, is planning a $206 million expansion adding a second tower to the Henderson resort. The M Resort expansion project will add approximately 384 rooms including 16 suites, which will bring its lodging accommodations total to 774. Along with the additional guest rooms and suites, M Resort will also expand its meeting space by 15,000 square feet, update amenities, and announce additional local partnerships later. Recently, the M Resort entered into a 10-year partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders, opened the first-ever Raiders Tavern & Grill, added the Coors Light Chill Zone and announced partnerships with the Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Knight Hawks. The property also rebranded its live entertainment venues – Ravello Lounge to AMP’D and M Bar to M Bar Live – incorporating more than $100K in new lighting and sound and opened the new Knight Time Hockey Bar.
MANDALAY BAY PLANS $100M CONVENTION CENTER REMODEL: Mandalay Bay is unveiling details around the $100 million remodel of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center. Reflecting the evolving needs and preferences of contemporary meetings, significant technology upgrades, dynamic digital signage and a fresh new design complementing Mandalay Bay’s tropical ambiance highlight the remodel. Mandalay Bay Convention Center will remain open and fully operational throughout the remodel, with upgrades executed in phases. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2024. As part of MGM Resorts’ commitment to providing a platform for diverse and underrepresented artists, the remodeled convention space will feature new works by Thandiwe Muriu and Sarah Anne Johnson, among others. In addition, Mandalay Bay continues resort upgrades including the upcoming remodel of all 424 rooms and suites at the Four Seasons Hotel set to take place next year; the addition of Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar in summer 2023; and the complete redesign of STRIPSTEAK scheduled to debut in early 2023.
DISCOVERING KING TUT’S TOMB IS NOW OPEN AT THE LUXOR: Imagine Exhibitions new immersive exhibition, Discovering King Tut’s Tomb, which brings ancient Egypt to life, has opened at the Luxor. The exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of renowned Egyptologist Howard Carter’s epic discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb – the most preserved of any pharaoh to date – and recounts the story of Carter’s finding, shedding light on the rich world of ancient Egyptian civilization. The immersive display begins with a passageway to the burial chamber, taking guests on a journey along the Nile River and unfolding with animations that illuminate the process of mummification and its significance to ancient Egyptian culture. Additional galleries trace the 100 years of King Tut and explore archeological practices today. Pods of virtual reality chairs enhance the visitor experience. Discovering King Tut’s Tomb is located on the Atrium level near the hotel’s existing exhibits and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20 for children ages 4-12 and $30 for adults.
ADAM SANDLER EXTENDS TOUR WITH A STOP AT THE COSMOPOLITAN: Comedic legend Adam Sandler is extending his sold-out tour with an exclusive, two-night engagement at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10. A powerhouse comedian, actor and musician, Sandler earns his triple-threat status as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors, boasting box office hits such as “Grown Ups,” “50 First Dates,” “Happy Gilmore,” and “The Waterboy” naming a few. Recently, Sandler starred in a series of major Netflix releases including “Murder Mystery” alongside Jennifer Aniston, the viral Safdie Brothers’ drama “Uncut Gems” and the 2022 basketball tale “Hustle.” A comedian at heart, Sandler’s comedy albums on Warner Bros. Records are Platinum Certified and collectively have sold more than six million copies to date. In 2018, Netflix released “100% Fresh,” Sandler’s first comedic special in more than 20 years.
JERRY SEINFELD COMMITS FOR SIX SHOWS AT CAESARS PALACE: For the first time since 2019, Jerry Seinfeld, comedian, author, producer and director, will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for six shows in 2023 to perform his famous stand-up comedy. Dates are Fridays and Saturdays, April 14-15, June 9-10 and July 28-29 with performances at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $84. Seinfeld’s comedy career took off after his first appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson in 1981. Eight years later, he teamed up with fellow comedian Larry David to create what was to become the most successful comedy series in the history of television, “Seinfeld,” which ran on NBC for nine seasons. His latest Emmy nominated Netflix projects include “Jerry Before Seinfeld” and “23 Hours to Kill” along with the highly acclaimed web series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” Seinfeld has also starred in, written, and produced movies “Comedian” and “Bee Movie,” directed and produced a Broadway hit “Colin Quinn Long Story Short,” and written two best-selling books “Is this Anything?” and “Seinlanguage” and a children’s book “Halloween.” He will star in the upcoming comedy film, “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story,” which he directed, co-wrote, and produced.
KEVIN HART WILL HEADLINE OVER NEW YEAR’S WEEKEND: Emmy and GRAMMY-nominated comedian and actor, Kevin Hart, will take the stage at Resorts World Theatre for two more performances on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for a “Reality Check: New Year’s Eve Experience.” Hart recently announced he will make his mark at the state-of-the-art theatre as one of the first comedians to perform when he brings his 2022 Reality Check tour there for two nights Nov.18 and 19 at 9 p.m. to be filmed as part of his next comedy special. Hart will bring his talents back to Las Vegas to celebrate the start of 2023 inviting fans to kick off the New Year in laughter. Use of phones will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, phones will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Tickets for the “Reality Check: New Year’s Eve Experience” shows go on sale Friday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. PT. Showtime for both New Year’s Eve Experience performances is 8 p.m.
ARCADE AT BALLY’S / HORSESHOE IS NOW OPEN: The ARCADE at Bally’s is now open as the resort continues rebranding into Horseshoe Las Vegas. The ARCADE on the first level near the food court is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday–Sunday. Designed by Aria Group, the 7,000-square-foot arcade is illuminated by a glow of bright neon lights and offers a high-energy, multi-sensory experience for all ages and skill levels. The venue features more than 80 supersized games, including classics like Skee-Ball, air hockey, Rock the Rim and an epic claw machine, Big One Extreme. Additionally, players are transported into immersive adventures via virtual reality with games like “King Kong” and “Mission Impossible,” a four-player interactive gaming experience. Games are played with The ARCADE’s cashless currency on re-loadable cards. The cards can be loaded with a credit card or cash; instead of tickets, points are accumulated on the cards to redeem larger prizes. The ARCADE will also feature an enhanced and refreshed bar that is scheduled to open in the coming weeks and will serve a selection of bottled and draft beer, cocktails and wine.
VEGAS HAUNT DEBUTS AT DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN®: Epic Events Group will debut its inaugural Vegas Haunt, featuring a haunted maze and Vegas Halloween Town, a Halloween inspired open-air market with more than 50 vendors offering fall favorites, seasonal beer tastings, tricks and lots of treats on The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin – Oct. 25–31. With seven nights of frights, The Vegas Haunt maze will feature six different scenes including: Insane Asylum, The Possession, Paranormal, Haunted Circus, Zombie Apocalypse and La Llorona (a Hispanic American mythical ghost). Vegas Halloween Town will feature carnival games, pumpkin painting, specialty food trucks, entertainment, a beer crawl with more than 24 craft beers and roaming characters. After dark, creatures of the night will creep and crawl as Vegas Halloween Town and the Vegas Haunt attraction turns into a spooky space for adults with specialty cocktails, VIP lounge, actors, performers and music.
‘FANTASY’ AT LUXOR DEBUTS 2023 CALENDAR: Last week, the tantalizing ladies of the award-winning topless female revue “Fantasy” at the Luxor celebrated 23 years of success on the Strip with a VIP party at Public House followed by a performance. As part of the night’s festivities, the annual calendar was released, titled “2023: FANTASY Has Legs,” paying tribute to the stunning cast and show’s longevity. The production has remained popular since its beginnings under producer, director and Emmy award-winning choreographer Anita Mann. “Fantasy” show times are nightly at 10:30 p.m. inside the Atrium Showroom, with an additional 8 p.m. show on Sundays. The calendar is now available for purchase on the revue’s website. The Nevada Donor Network Foundation was announced as the recipient of an annual donation from sales of the new calendar.

NCBA CELEBRATES INAUGURAL NEVADA DAY PINT GLASS PROMOTION: The nonprofit Nevada Craft Brewers Association (NCBA) is unifying the Silver State’s craft beer community with its first-ever Nevada Day Pint Promo. Running Friday, Oct. 28 through Monday, Oct. 31, the limited-edition, collectors’ pint glasses designed by local artist, Raven Snow, will be on sale at 25 Nevada craft brewery locations. Each Nevada Day Pint glass can be purchased, while supplies last, at participating breweries for $12.99. Each location will also offer a special $5 beer when the Nevada Day glass is presented. Proceeds from the weekend-long event will go back to the NCBA to support small, craft beer businesses in Nevada.
BATTLEBOTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN VEGAS THROUGH OCT. 30: BattleBots World Championship VII Live Robot Combat runs Oct. 18 through Oct. 30 at Caesars Entertainment Studios at 4165 Koval Lane. The championship is being filmed in Las Vegas before a live audience. More than 50 teams from the United States, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia and South America are traveling with their fighting machines to slug it out in a series of battles to the death. The ultimate winner will take home the greatest prize in the sport: The Giant Nut, which is currently held by the United States’ Tantrum, a puncher robot from Team Seems Reasonable, co-captained by Ginger Schmidt and Alex Grant. The audience will witness the spectacle of robot-on-robot, gear-grinding mayhem and see their favorite bots, including Whiplash, Witch Doctor, Hydra, Tantrum, HyperShock, Minotaur, End Game, SawBlaze and more. The seventh season of the popular show will air on Discovery Channel early next year. There will be three ticketed sessions on Saturdays (noon, 4 and 8 p.m.) and two ticketed sessions on all other scheduled days (noon and 6 p.m.). Each session lasts between three and four hours. Dark days will be Oct. 20, 24 and 27. Tickets are based on availability.
HONEY SALT MARKS 10-YEAR MILESTONE: Restauranteur Elizabeth Blau and Chef Kim Canteenwalla’s Honey Salt, which has proven to be a Las Vegas culinary mainstay, is celebrating 10 years of success with a “Cheers to 10 Years’ Anniversary Party” on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the Summerlin restaurant. The event will be an all-inclusive evening with passed bites, a farm stand, charcuterie and cheese, chef’s carving station and seafood paella, and harvest dessert bar. MYSTIC MONA® HOSTS SIXTH ANNUAL NIGHT OF THE WITCHES: The sixth annual Night of the Witches hosted by Mystic Mona® benefit event will be held from 6–8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at Grape Street Café in Downtown Summerlin. SOUTH POINT EXTENDS ENTITLEMENT SPONSORSHIP WITH LVMS: The South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa and Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) have announced they will continue their longstanding relationship as both organizations have agreed to a multi-year extension for the South Point 400 to remain the name of LVMS’s fall NASCAR Cup Series race. Last month NASCAR officials released the 2023 schedule. The return of the speedway’s annual fall race, the South Point 400, will be on Oct. 15, 2023. The South Point 400 will also be the first race of the round of eight for the NASCAR Playoffs. South Point is the only title sponsor of the Fall NASCAR Cup Series race since its inception in 2018, but the longstanding partnership between LVMS and South Point owner Michael Gaughan goes back to the speedway’s construction in 1996.
